Cadets and staff of Fork Union Military Academy gathered at the flagpole this morning to participate in our annual See You At The Pole worldwide prayer event. Those present prayed for God's saving grace and love to be with our school, our country, and all people of our world.

See You At The Pole is said to have started with a small youth group in Burleson, Texas, back in 1990 and it has grown into a worldwide movement in which students at schools around the globe gather for prayer on the fourth Wednesday of September. At Fork Union Military Academy, the event is led by members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and participation is open to all cadets, staff, and faculty of the Academy.

This annual prayer event is notable at the Academy for another reason as well: it is perhaps the only time that cadets are permitted to be on the grass of Fraley Circle.
