Fork Union Military Academy congratulates Mrs. Joshlyn Resek for being named Teacher of the Term for Term 3 of the 2023-2024 academic year. Cadets submit nominations for the Teacher of the Term at the conclusion of each grading term. The cadet nominations are reviewed and evaluated by the Teacher of the Term/Year Committee, which is comprised of non-academic staff members. After considering cadet nominations, the Committee announces the Teacher of the Term.
Mrs. Resek joined the Academy in the summer of 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience garnered from eight years in the hospital setting. Possessing a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Liberty University and a B.S. in Chemistry with Biological Emphasis from the University of Utah, her expertise and passion for education have profoundly enriched the learning environment.
During Term 3, Mrs. Resek taught Honors Chemistry.
Beyond her role in the classroom, Mrs. Resek serves as the eighth-grade scheduling advisor and helps with the yearbook.
Mrs. Resek received nominations that stated:
