Fork Union Military Academy welcomed nearly 40 colleges and universities to campus Thursday afternoon for its 2025 VACRAO College Fair, held inside the Estes Athletic Center. The event brought together cadets in grades 11 through postgraduate as well as visiting students from Fluvanna County High School, all eager to explore the wide range of educational and career opportunities available after graduation.
Throughout the afternoon, representatives from regional and national institutions engaged one-on-one with students, answering questions and offering insight into admissions, academic programs, and campus life. The fair continues to serve as an important step in helping cadets connect their academic preparation at Fork Union with their future goals.
“This year’s fair has been one of the most dynamic yet,” said a representative from Virginia Tech. “Fork Union cadets are not only academically prepared, but they also bring maturity and focus to these conversations. It’s inspiring to meet students who are so intentional about their futures.”
Cadets came away from the event energized and motivated, discovering new colleges and career paths they may not have previously considered. Speaking directly with admissions counselors gave students valuable clarity on the steps they need to take to succeed in the next phase of their education.
Several institutions, including James Madison University and the University of Virginia, continued their tradition of returning to Fork Union, reinforcing their strong ties with the Academy’s cadets.
