Fork Union Military Academy is pleased to announce that the 2026 Military Ball will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Thomas Gymnasium. This time-honored event is one of the Academy’s most cherished traditions, dating back to the inaugural Military Ball on April 12, 1969. 

A highlight of the spring semester, the Military Ball brings cadets together for an evening of camaraderie, celebration, and tradition. The evening will feature the iconic Arch of Sabers at the entrance, setting the tone for a formal and memorable experience. 

Who Can Attend

All cadets in grades 9–12 are invited to attend. 

• Freshmen and sophomores must attend with a date 
• Juniors and seniors may attend individually or with a date 

Ticket Information

• $20 per individual (juniors and seniors only) 
• $30 per couple (available for grades 9–12)

Dress Code

• Fork Union Cadets: Class A Uniform 
• Ladies: Formal evening attire (full-length or knee-length dresses preferred). Dresses must not be low-cut, high-slit, or excessively tight-fitting. 
• This is a formal event, and appropriate attire is required for entry. Cadets are asked to ensure their dates are aware of and adhere to the dress code guidelines.
