Fork Union Military Academy honored its undergraduates during the annual Undergraduate Awards Ceremony held Wednesday evening in Wicker Chapel.
More than 20 awards were presented, including scholarships, special recognitions, and the announcement of Dean’s List and President’s List honorees. The evening celebrated the academic achievement, leadership, and character of our cadets.

Awarded to the cadet who has the highest academic average in physics.
Awarded to the cadet with the highest academic average in Algebra I & Algebra II.
Awarded to a 9th or 10th grade cadet with the highest average in Geometry.
Awarded to a rising senior with the best overall math scores while attending the Academy.
Awarded to the undergraduate who has the highest academic average in Chemistry.
Awarded to the freshman who has the highest academic average in Environmental Science.
Awarded to the 9th or 10th grade cadet with the highest academic average in Biology.

Awarded to the cadet who has the highest academic average in Spanish.
Awarded to the cadet who has the highest academic average in German.
Awarded to the cadet who shows ability to guide and teach their fellow bandsmen.
This scholarship is given to the cadet who has given countless hours to improving themselves and those around them.
Awarded to the rising senior who demonstrates leadership in cadet life, participates in at least two prep sports and must be a boarding student.
Awarded to the rising senior who distinguished himself as exemplifying the highest level of intellectual, moral, and ethical qualities to his fellow cadets.
Awarded to the rising senior who will represent the Greenbrier Military Academy so that the Greenbrier spirit will live on throughout the Corps of Cadets.
Awarded to the rising senior who has been in the most continued attendance at the Academy.
Awarded to a cadet who embodies the tributes of COL Whitescarver.
Awarded to the most outstanding freshman in Retan Rifles.
Awarded to the cadet who excels as being a cadet chaplain.
Awarded to the cadet who exemplifies the excellence in working with the Quartermaster.
Awarded to cadets who show leadership, integrity, and humility. This scholarship is $1,000 towards next year's tuition.
Awarded to cadets who demonstrate exceptional leadership among the Corps of Cadets. This scholarship is $1,000 towards next year's tuition.
Awarded to cadets who demonstrate good standing among the Corps of Cadets. This scholarship is $1,000 towards next year's tuition.
Awarded to a young man who demonstrates integrity, leadership, and kindness among the Corps of Cadets. This scholarship is $1,000 towards next year's tuition.
Awarded to a young man who has the greatest improvement in attitude and or self-esteem since arriving to the Academy.
Awarded to a rising 9th grade student who loves the Academy. This scholarship is $1,000 towards next year's tuition.
Awarded from the College to a cadet who embodies all the qualities of good leadership. This award was paired with the book "A Passion of Leadership" by Robert M. Gates.
Awarded from the Sons of the American Revolution and is presented to a cadet for his distinguished service to the Academy.
Awarded for excellence in scholarship, military bearing, and leadership at the Academy.

COL Grant '04 is the Director of Operations and have been associated with the Academy since the fall of 2000.
Coach Panos led the inaugural PG lacrosse team to an impressive 17-10-2 record.
