Fork Union Military Academy is excited to announce the return of Band Company for the 2026–2027 academic year, marking a meaningful step forward in the continued growth of the Academy’s music program.
Over the past five years, the Fork Union Band has steadily built momentum, expanding both in talent and presence across campus. With the reestablishment of Band Company, housed in Jacobson Hall, cadets will not only perform together, but also live, train, and grow alongside one another throughout the year.
While recent years have included designated floors for band members, this marks the first time since the 2009–2010 academic year that the group will once again operate as a unified company further strengthening camaraderie, discipline, and musical excellence under the direction of ETN1(SS) John Warren.
As Band Company prepares for its official return, cadets are already hard at work this spring. Cadet 2LT Christian Mukhisa will be providing weekly updates highlighting the group’s progress and performances throughout the remainder of the year.
The heat is on, and the rhythm is set. As spring kicks into gear, the FUMA Marching Band and Corps of Cadets are back on the grind every Monday and Wednesday. We are currently refining every step and every note, turning sweat into synchronization.
Mark your calendars for April 19th: The First Responders Parade. This will be our first opportunity of the season to showcase the Academy's standard of excellence and offer a musical Thank You to our local heroes.
One Band, One Sound.
