This week, Fork Union Military Academy’s middle school cadets enjoyed a special surprise thanks to one of our youngest community members, Jackson Hill, the second-grade son of Mrs. Kelsey Hill, Director of College Placement & Academic Services.

With Louisa County Public Schools on Spring Break, Jackson spent part of his week on campus and teamed up with Major Dave Mitchell, one of our middle school teachers, to organize an Easter egg hunt for the cadets. The event came with a fun challenge: if all students turned in their homework by Tuesday, Jackson would reward them with a festive egg hunt on Wednesday.

After the cadets met their goal, Jackson followed through on his promise. With help from his family, he stopped by Walmart to pick up plastic eggs and candy, then spent the day carefully stuffing and hiding the eggs around campus for the cadets to find.

His thoughtful effort brought smiles and laughter to our middle schoolers and reminded us all of the joy that comes from giving.

Thank you, Jackson, for spreading a little extra cheer this Easter season!
