Cadets Jackson Pretus and Nicholas Coleman led the Fork Union Military Academy's debate team at the Snowball Tournament at the University of Lynchburg this past weekend.
Pretus, a senior from Charlottesville, Va., took second in the Student Congress and won the Best Representative by a vote of his peers. Coleman, a ninth-grader from Woodbridge, Va., placed sixth in his category, the Lincoln Douglas Debate.
“I am excited by the consistent placement at all of our meets thus far in the school year, and I look forward to continuing the streak in January,” said head debate coach CPT Michael Head.
Fork Union will compete at the Ron Richards Invitational at Broad Run High School on Saturday, January 21.
