Fork Union Military Academy had the honor of hosting a group from Fluvanna County's Parks and Recreation 55+ program Wednesday. The group visited campus to witness and participate in a rifle and drill demonstration led by our Retan Rifle cadets.

The cadets impressed the visitors with their discipline, precision, and dedication as they performed intricate routines and shared insights into the rigorous training required to master these skills. Members of the Parks and Recreation program had the opportunity to engage with the cadets, ask questions, and gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work and focus involved in their drills.

This event is part of Fork Union Military Academy’s ongoing effort to foster strong community relations. By inviting local groups to campus, we aim to showcase the exceptional qualities of our cadets while building connections that strengthen ties between the Academy and our surrounding community.

The visit provided not only an opportunity for our cadets to demonstrate their expertise but also a moment to highlight the values of teamwork and commitment that are central to our Academy. We thank Fluvanna County’s Parks and Recreation program for joining us and look forward to hosting more community groups in the future.
