Fork Union Military Academy is excited to welcome families back to campus for Parents Weekend 2025, October 10–12! This special tradition gives parents the opportunity to experience cadet life firsthand, connect with faculty and staff, and make lasting memories with their sons.
Parents Weekend is a ticketed event 🎟️, and families may choose to purchase either a weekend bundle for $25 or select individual events. Members of the Parents Association receive special discounts, including two free meal tickets at Friday’s dinner, so we encourage you to join and take advantage of the savings.

Friday, October 10, 2025
- 2:00 PM | Families arrive on campus
- 2:15 PM | Welcome from CAPT Mark Black, President (Wicker Chapel)
- 🎟️ 3:00–5:00 PM | Afternoon Events
- Parent/Teacher Conferences (by appointment)
- Afternoon Tea in the Library, hosted by Mrs. Kim Black & the Parents Association
- 🎟️ 5:30–6:30 PM | Family Dinner in Estes Dining Hall ($10 per person, free for cadets & children under 5; two free tickets for Parents Association members)
- Includes a family photo opportunity with Kristin Firewicz Studios
- 6:30 PM | Retreat
Saturday, October 11, 2025
- 9:00–11:00 AM | Open House in Estes Dining Hall (visit with teachers, advisors, clubs, and vendors)
- 11:00 AM | Varsity Soccer vs. Fredericksburg Christian School (Outdoor Track/Soccer Field)
- 🎟️ 11:30 AM–12:30 PM | Family Tailgate at Sabre Square ($10 per family member, free for cadets & children under 5)
- 1:00 PM | Varsity Football vs. Fredericksburg Christian School (Stadium Field)
- 4:00 PM | PG Lacrosse vs. Virginia State University (Outdoor Track/Soccer Field)
- Parents may take cadets off campus for Day Pass (return by 9:00 PM)
Sunday, October 12, 2025
- 10:00 AM | Chapel Service (Wicker Chapel)
- 🎟️ 10:45 AM–12:15 PM | Sunday Brunch in Estes Dining Hall ($10 per family member, free for cadets & children under 5)
- 1:30 PM | First Parade of the Season (Stadium Field)
- Parents may take cadets off campus for Day Pass after the parade (return by 7:00 PM)
