Fork Union Military Academy welcomed 44 colleges and universities to campus Thursday afternoon for its 2026 VACRAO College Fair, held inside the Estes Athletic Center.

The annual event brought together cadets in grades 11 through postgraduate, providing them with an opportunity to explore a wide range of educational and career paths available after graduation.

Throughout the afternoon, representatives from institutions across the region and nation met one-on-one with cadets, answering questions and providing insight into admissions, academic programs, campus life, and the college application process.

The College Fair serves as an important part of Fork Union’s college preparation efforts, helping cadets connect their academic experiences at the Academy with their goals beyond graduation. Through conversations with admissions representatives, cadets were able to discover new opportunities, learn more about institutions they are considering, and gain a better understanding of the steps required as they prepare for college.

Several institutions, including Virginia Tech, Radford University, James Madison University, Virginia Military Institute, and the University of Virginia, continued their tradition of returning to Fork Union, reinforcing their strong connections with the Academy and its cadets.
