Fork Union Military Academy welcomed international educational consultants to campus for a Familiarization (FAM) Tour Monday, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience firsthand the Academy's unique approach to academics, leadership, and character development.

The visit was organized through the National Association of British Schools Worldwide (NABSW), led by Executive Director Ross Danby, ahead of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.

Fork Union was honored to be selected as one of just eight schools in the Washington, D.C., and Virginia region to host the visiting consultants.

Throughout their visit, the consultants had the opportunity to connect with cadets, hear their personal experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the Academy's mission of developing young men in body, mind, and spirit.

“Having international educational consultants visit our campus is invaluable. It gives them the opportunity to meet our extraordinary cadets, hear their stories firsthand, and see the impact Fork Union Military Academy has on the young men we serve,” said COL Gary Leydig, Director of Enrollment Management.

“We are especially grateful to Ross Danby, Executive Director of NABSW, for bringing this group to campus ahead of the TABS Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. Being selected as one of just eight schools in the D.C. and Virginia area is truly an honor. We appreciate the opportunity to share the Fork Union experience with the world.”

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen international connections and introduce educational consultants to the programs, traditions, and opportunities that distinguish Fork Union Military Academy.

As the Academy continues expanding its global outreach, experiences like the FAM Tour help build relationships with educational professionals who guide families exploring boarding school opportunities in the United States.
