End of the Year Travel Information

The end of the 2021-2022 school year is NEXT WEEK! Below are all the details regarding the final week of the academic school year.

All parents are required to submit their cadet’s departure information through the Orah Parent Portal. This includes all senior cadets as well.

The Orah Parent Portal requires a Return Date for all Leave Requests. Please select any random date for the Return Date to be able to submit the request.

All travel requests must be submitted by Friday, May 13.

Cadet departure dates are below:

• 7th Graders depart on Wednesday, May 18 after 11:00 AM.
• 8th Grade through 11th Grade cadets depart on Thursday, May 19 after 12:30 PM.
• Seniors depart on Friday, May 20 after graduation.
• *Outdoor Track & Field athletes depart after the VISAA State Championship Meet at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, VA on Saturday, May 21

End of the Year Events

Wednesday, May 18

• 10:00 AM | 7th Grade Promotion Ceremony | Wicker Chapel
  • Cadet Uniform for 7th Graders: Khakis and Polos.
  • 7th Graders are dismissed from campus at 11:00 AM.
• 4:30 PM | Upper School Awards Ceremony | Wicker Chapel | Parents are welcome.
  • Cadet Uniform for Awards: Class B
  • Dinner will be served in the Estes Dining Hall at 5:30 PM. Parents who attend the awards are welcome to stay for dinner.
• Cadets will wear DCUs to begin the class day. Day students should bring their Class Bs to change into for the Awards.
• 7th Graders will arrive for the class day in Khakis and Polos.

Thursday, May 19

• Term 5 Final Exam Day
  • Uniform of Day: Khakis and Black Polos
  • Grades 8 through 11 are dismissed from campus at 12:30 PM.
• 4:30 PM | Senior Cookout | Middle School Circle | Parents are welcome. Please RSVP.
  • Uniform of the Day: PTs
• 6:30 PM | Senior Awards Ceremony | Wicker Chapel | Parents are welcome.
  • Uniform of the Day: Class Bs

Friday, May 20

• 9:00 AM | Baccalaureate | Wicker Chapel | Closed to Parents
• 10:30 AM | Upper School Graduation | Football Field | All are welcome. No tickets required.

May 31st is the deadline to submit your reenrollment contract and pay your registration fee for the next school year. If you have any questions, please email our admissions team at admissions@fuma.org.

Summer School 2022

If you are interested in enrolling your cadet to Summer School, please contact the admissions office at admissions@fuma.org. Please note that all cadets will have met with Mrs. Kelsey Hill before the end of the school year to discuss their schedule for 2022-2023.

Are You And Your Cadet Interested In Going To Italy?

Fork Union Military Academy cadets and chaperones can pay their way to Italy with Explorica Educational Tours in December 2022! Ms. Regina Delman held an informational meeting this week to inform parents of the trip. You can watch the meeting on YouTube here to learn all about the trip!
