Fork Union Military Academy is proud to announce that the Class of 2026 has officially surpassed $1 million in awarded merit scholarships, marking an exciting milestone in this year’s college admissions season.

To date, 13 merit scholarship awards have been reported, totaling an impressive $1,128,000. It was Andres Olalla-Casas’s Florida Institute of Technology merit award that pushed the senior class past the $1 million mark.

Leading the class so far is Brandon Scheel, who has earned $376,000 in merit scholarships and currently holds the title of Most Valuable Senior.

“This early success reflects the hard work, discipline, and academic excellence of our seniors,” said Director of College Placement & Academic Services Mrs. Kelsey Hill. “We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing this total grow as more awards are announced.”

With Early Action and Early Decision deadlines quickly approaching on October 15, the College Placement Department encourages all seniors to continue working diligently on their applications and scholarship submissions.

Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2026 for their outstanding accomplishments and continued dedication to academic excellence!
