Fork Union Military Academy is proud to announce that Everett Dumolien, a senior postgraduate lacrosse player from Ponte Vedra, Florida, has received congressional nominations to both the United States Naval Academy (USNA) and the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Dumolien was nominated by U.S. Congressman John Rutherford (FL-5) as part of the newest class of service academy nominees for Florida’s 5th Congressional District.

Dumolien, the son of Mark Dumolien and Carolyn Brown, was honored alongside 51 other nominees at a special recognition ceremony held at The Performing Arts Center at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra on Tuesday, February 18. These prestigious nominations are a critical step in the highly competitive appointment process for the nation's service academies, which prepare young leaders for military service and academic excellence.

Each year, select students from across Florida’s 5th District receive nominations to attend one of the nation’s premier service academies, including the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy as part of the Class of 2029.

We congratulate Everett on this remarkable achievement and commend him for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to service.
