Fork Union Military Academy cadets from Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Companies showcased their strength, endurance, and teamwork as they competed in the Marine Corps JROTC Raider Virginia State Championship on Saturday, October 4, at Eastern View High School in Culpeper, Virginia.

Throughout the grueling day-long competition, cadets completed a series of physically demanding events designed to test their leadership, communication, and perseverance. From navigating challenging obstacles to executing precision teamwork under pressure, each cadet demonstrated the Academy’s core values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience.

Leading the group was Charlie Company TAC Instructor, MSgt Robert Cox, USAF (Ret.), who praised the cadets’ collective effort and determination.

“I was greatly impressed by these cadets’ perseverance, teamwork, and dedication,” said MSgt Cox. “They worked as a team and supported each other throughout this challenging event. I am very proud of these amazing cadets.”

The Raider competition provided cadets an opportunity to apply leadership lessons in a real-world setting, strengthening both their physical capabilities and their bond as a unit.

Participation in the Raider Championship reinforces Fork Union’s commitment to developing well-rounded young men who excel in mind, body, and spirit.
