BGAV/Keesee Baptist Scholar Award

We offer the BGAV/Keesee Baptist Scholar Award, a competitive scholarship we provide in partnership with the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Charles B. Keesee Educational Fund for students who are members of an eligible BGAV-affiliated Baptist church.

The award amount may be renewable for each year the student remains in good standing at the Academy.

Applicant Requirements

  • Member of an eligible BGAV-affiliated congregation
  • First-time applicant to Fork Union Military Academy
  • Available to grades 7th-12th
  • GPA equivalent of 2.5 or higher
  • Demonstrated character and school/community involvement

The Application Process

  1. Applicants must submit the Fork Union Military Academy application along with all required documentation from their current school (such as transcript and recommendation forms).
  2. Applicants must submit the below BGAV/Keesee Baptist Scholar application
  3. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from his BGAV-member church leadership.

The Selection Process

  • The application must be received by the submission deadline in order for it to be reviewed by the selection committee.
  • The selection committee will review applicant files to determine the award amount and recipient.
  • Award amount may be renewable for each year the student remains enrolled in good standing at the Academy

Deadline

  • The application deadline is March 31st.
