The Fork Union Military Academy is cheering for Stephen Plumb, a member of our maintenance staff, who will be competing in the US Challenge Cup representing the Commonwealth of Virginia. Stephen was selected to the team in a vote conducted by all the leagues in Virginia, and is excited to represent the state in the Challenge Cup.

The Challenge Cup, to be held this month in Viera, Florida, is billed as "the Olympics of Softball" and features softball teams competing in a state vs. state format. The tournament is sponsored by the United States Specialty Sports Association which was founded as the US Slow-Pitch Softball Association and has grown to be the governing body for thirteen sports.
