On Saturday, October 19, the Academy will have its first parade of the academic year. The Commandant of Cadets GySgt Charlie Coulter would like to remind all Day Students and their parents that this parade is mandatory for all cadets. First call is at 11:30 AM. All Day Students must be on campus and signed into the Commandant's Office by 10:30 AM.

We are excited to invite you to join us for Parent's Weekend at Fork Union Military Academy on Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19! This year's schedule offers a variety of events designed to create a memorable and engaging experience for all. We look forward to celebrating our wonderful community together.
Cadets will be eligible to depart campus with their families on Saturday, October 19, following the first parade of the year!

On Saturday, October 19, a representative from Josten's will be available during the Open House from 9 AM to 11 AM. This is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors to view class ring selections, get sized, and select your ring in time for the Ring Ceremony this Spring.
The resource program is designed to provide additional structured, supervised time for cadets to work on their course materials. On top of remedial instruction or help understanding their course matter, the resource program can provide cadets with additional academic skills such as time management, study skills, and test prep skills. Cadets in resource will have the added benefit of an additional instructor who will be able to monitor their progress and keep them on track academically.
Cost: $1,500 for the year/$300 by term.

We invite you to attend our upcoming Town Hall with the President on Thursday, October 3 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Our special guest for this online event will be Fork Union Military Academy's President CAPT Mark Black. He wants to check in with families now that the school year is underway, see how things are going for our parents, and discuss the things that are going well, and learn more about areas in which we might be able to improve.

We are excited to offer a Fall SAT Prep class for seniors and postgraduates. The class will consist of 10 sessions over 5 weeks and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the month of October. The cost is $300, which will be charged to your FACTS account.

With the weather changing and most mornings maybe cold and rainy, please remember to bring your jackets. All Day Students should check their email the evening before each class day to make sure they have all their Uniform of the Day requirements.
We have identified an issue with our phone system that is affecting the functionality of calling cards. To address this, we will be providing cadets with new access codes for making calls. Incoming phone calls will continue as usual during the below hours. We apologize for any inconvenience these past issues may have caused.
