Dear Parents,
Please be advised that classes scheduled for Saturday, September 12, have been canceled.
This decision was made after careful consideration of the numerous activities taking place that day, including SAT testing and the community-wide Fork Union Day events. The number of commitments for many of our cadets, faculty, and staff would significantly impact attendance and participation in scheduled classes.
As a result, there will be no academic classes held on Saturday, September 12.
We do not plan to add a replacement instructional day to the Term 1 calendar. The Academy will continue to monitor academic progress throughout the term to ensure that course objectives and learning outcomes remain on track.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we balance the academic program with important student opportunities and community engagement.
Thank you,
Kelly Barnette

Dear Parents,
I hope this email finds you well! Below is your weekly update from Fork Union Military Academy. Please let me know if you have any questions.
As cadets transition into the Class B uniform for the daily class schedule, Day Students are reminded to keep all issued uniform items in their barracks rooms so they can access them as needed throughout the week.
This is especially important as we move into the fall and winter months, when cadets may need items such as gloves, poncho/trench coats, jackets, or other uniform pieces depending on the weather and daily requirements.
Day Students should make sure their uniform items are organized and available in their rooms, so they are prepared for each school day and any changes to the uniform of the day.
Upcoming Date: The next Saturday Class Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 12.
Open communication begins today, Friday, August 28.
Cadets will be able to resume communication with their families through barracks telephones and email. As this process begins, we ask families to please be patient and allow your cadet to contact you first so he can share his phone number and communication details with you directly.
Please note that we are also upgrading our campus phone system, which may cause temporary disruptions. Thank you for your patience as cadets begin reaching out to families throughout the weekend.
Barracks Phone Schedule
Below is the schedule for the barracks telephones:
During this transition period, families may also continue to stay in touch through mail and care packages. If you need to contact your son's Student Development Officer, please use their contact information below:
Login information for both the Orah Parent Portal and PowerSchool has now been distributed to all families.
Parents must use the Orah Parent Portal for all transportation and leave requests throughout the year. If you are having trouble locating your Orah login email, please check your junk or spam folder for an email from no-reply@orah.com.
Parents should also have received their PowerSchool login information by email from IT@fuma.org.
If you have not received your login information or are having trouble accessing either Orah or PowerSchool, please reach out so we can assist you.
Families MUST use the following addresses below when sending mail and packages to their cadet.
Please be sure to use your cadet's full first and last name and include his company name. We have received several packages addressed with nicknames, initials, or incomplete names, which makes it difficult for staff to identify the correct cadet and may delay delivery.
