This week in Mrs. Welch’s AP Environmental Science class, students stepped outside for a hands-on lab exploring species diversity. 🌿📊
Cadets compared areas of the lawn that are rarely walked on to spots that are frequently walked on by pedestrians. They identified and counted plant species within their survey plots, then combined their findings and used a biodiversity calculator to analyze the differences. A great day of real-world science, fresh air, and discovery! 🌱🔍
