Preseason check-in is tomorrow!
All preseason football and varsity soccer cadets should arrive Monday, August 10, during their selected check-in time between 9:00 and 11:00 AM.
Before traveling to campus, please verify that all Enrollment Checklist items have been completed.

A quick grooming reminder before check-in:
Cadets should arrive clean-shaven and with a regulation haircut. Hair must be neat, closely trimmed and no longer than one inch on top, with the sides tapered or faded evenly.
If your cadet cannot receive a haircut before arriving, arrangements can be made with the campus barber.

All cadets must complete the required Sway Concussion Test.
The test can be completed remotely through the Sway Medical mobile app. Families should complete the appropriate new or returning student test before arriving or have the app downloaded and ready to use at check-in.

Health forms must be completed in SchoolDoc before arriving on campus.
Our nurses will review each cadet’s health profile during check-in. Incomplete forms, especially those requiring a healthcare provider’s signature, may delay the process. Please remember that paper health forms cannot be accepted at check-in.

Is your cadet ready to pack?
Families should review the official Cadet Packing List carefully before check-in. Be sure to bring all required items, label personal belongings and avoid packing anything that is not permitted.
A little preparation now can make move-in day much smoother!

Before arriving at Fork Union, families must complete the Enrollment Checklist in the Parent Portal.
Please confirm that your contract, registration time, health information, required forms, packing list and other checklist items have been completed. Finishing these steps before arrival will help make check-in faster and easier.

Last week, we capped off a very successful Summer Academy filled with learning, leadership, friendship, and fun. From the classroom to campus activities, our cadets made the most of every opportunity to grow.
In just a few weeks, we’ll welcome cadets back for the start of the school year, and we can’t wait to see the energy return to campus.

Fork Union Military Academy has announced that Stephen Macek will serve as Acting President in connection with the retirement of CAPT Mark E. Black, the Academy’s 12th President.
COL Macek has served Fork Union since 1994 and brings decades of experience across leadership, academics, athletics, admissions, operations, and cadet life. Most recently, he served as Assistant Head of School.
With a deep understanding of Fork Union’s mission and values, COL Macek will help lead the Academy through this transition while continuing to support our cadets, families, faculty, staff, and alumni.
