There are a variety of reasons why a student might leave school during an academic year, such as due to an Injury or illness, academic difficulties, financial issues, or disciplinary dismissal.

The Tuition Protection Plan is a way to help protect you from the economic impact of many such unforeseen withdrawals or dismissals.

The Tuition Protection Plan provides two benefits:

• First, instead of being obligated to pay the full tuition as specified in the enrollment contract, it reduces your financial liability to the Net Tuition Revenue, which is the amount of tuition less any financial aid or scholarships awarded, should the student withdraw or be dismissed for any reason, at any time. 
• Second, in most cases of withdrawal or dismissal, it qualifies you to receive a credit of 70% of the unused portion of the amortized annual tuition value (excluding the non-refundable enrollment deposit, non-refundable fees, and any financial aid awarded).

Your participation in the Tuition Protection Plan is completely voluntary, but must be elected in time. Remember, the Tuition Protection Plan offers the only means by which any tuition adjustment of credit can be made for students who leave school prior to the end of the academic year, and that deadlines do apply for you to enroll in this plan. 

While the Tuition Protection Plan does help protect your investment in education costs, the Tuition Protection Plan is not insurance. No third-party insurer is involved, and this service is not regulated by any state or federal agency. It is simply a service offered for a fee by Fork Union Military Academy. This gives us the flexibility to offer this service as a voluntary option, unlike many tuition insurance plans that require mandatory participation of all families.

You can receive the benefit of the Tuition Protection Plan for the cost of $1,250 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
