Like most schools, the Academy commits to a significant portion of our costs at the beginning of the school year based on student enrollment. Therefore, we require full payment of the annual tuition and fees (even if you receive financial aid) once a student is enrolled. In signing the enrollment agreement, you accept this obligation and are committed to full payment of the entire annual tuition and fees.
There are a variety of reasons why a student might leave school during an academic year, such as due to an Injury or illness, academic difficulties, financial issues, or disciplinary dismissal.
The Tuition Protection Plan is a way to help protect you from the economic impact of many such unforeseen withdrawals or dismissals.
The Tuition Protection Plan provides two benefits:
Please read the plan documents for the full description of benefits and the specific terms and exclusions of this plan.
Your participation in the Tuition Protection Plan is completely voluntary, but must be elected in time. Remember, the Tuition Protection Plan offers the only means by which any tuition adjustment of credit can be made for students who leave school prior to the end of the academic year, and that deadlines do apply for you to enroll in this plan.
While the Tuition Protection Plan does help protect your investment in education costs, the Tuition Protection Plan is not insurance. No third-party insurer is involved, and this service is not regulated by any state or federal agency. It is simply a service offered for a fee by Fork Union Military Academy. This gives us the flexibility to offer this service as a voluntary option, unlike many tuition insurance plans that require mandatory participation of all families.
You can receive the benefit of the Tuition Protection Plan for the cost of $1,250 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Please download and read carefully the Terms and Conditions contained in this PDF document. This document more fully explains the details of the Tuition Protection Plan and how the program works.
