Greetings from Fork Union Military Academy!
We’re excited to welcome your family to the 2025 Summer Academy Session II at Fork Union Military Academy! We look forward to greeting your son at check-in on Monday, July 14.
Check-In Details
Summer Academy classes are divided into two sessions. Below are details of the final session:
- Session 2 – Monday, July 14
Summer Academy ends Saturday, July 26 at 12 PM, following the exam at the Social Center. (Building 8 on the Campus Map)
Before Arriving to Campus
Please log into FUMA's Parent's Portal and ensure the following Enrollment Checklist items are complete:
- "Summer Academy Course Interest Form" has been submitted
- "Summer Academy Sessions Contract" has been submitted
- "Academic Calendar" has been viewed
- "Full Session Summer Academy Enrollment Contract" has been submitted
- "Full Session Summer Academy Deposit" has been submitted
- "Your 2025 Summer Academy Check In / Registration Time" has been selected
- "Signed Final Official Transcript Request" has been submitted
- "Health Profile Completed on SchoolDoc"
- "Attendance Policy/Parent Statement of Support" has been submitted
- "Authorized Adult Permission Form" has been submitted
- "Fork Union Honor Code" has been submitted
- "Snack and Activity Plan Selection" has been selected
- "Reviewed the Packing List for New and Returning Cadets"
- "Review the Summer Academy "Things to Bring" List" has been submitted

What to Bring
All personal items should be clearly labeled. Quantities listed are the minimum required:
- Gym shoes (may be worn to class) - Qty 2
- Blanket and pillow (standard size)
- White undershirts - Qty 8
- Under shorts - Qty 8
- White socks (at least ankle height) - Qty 8
- Towels and washcloths, white - Qty 2
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, razor/shaving cream)
- Shower shoes
- Swimsuit
- Straight broom and dustpan
- Glass cleaner, paper towels, disinfectant wipes
- Calculator (for math or science)
- Aanalog watch - no smart watches allowed
- Reloadable VISA/Debit Card for personal purchases
- Master lock with combination
- Optional: basketball, baseball glove, lacrosse stick, racquetball or tennis racquet

Reminders Before You Arrive
- Ensure all required forms are submitted through the Parent's Portal.
- Make sure medical and insurance information is current in SchoolDoc.
- Review Packing List & Summer Academy Handbook.
- Please clearly label all personal items.
- Students will be able to communicate home by Thursday, July 3.
