Sophomore parents, registration for the PSAT 10 is open! The test will be administered on April 8 during the academic day and costs $40. This optional test helps cadets prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT, required in junior year. Registration closes on February 7, and payment is due before April 8. Today, Friday, February 7, is the final day to submit your cadet’s Spring Break Leave Request in Orah. Please ensure your request is submitted by the deadline to help us coordinate departures smoothly. Spring Break is scheduled for Friday, March 7 – Sunday, March 16, and all cadets are required to depart campus during this time.

Fork Union is thrilled to offer cadets an all-inclusive Spring Break trip to the Smoky Mountains for $2,500. We are thrilled to announce that the 2025 Dodge Meritorious Scholarship Competition is now open to cadets in grades 9-11! This prestigious competition offers cadets the chance to earn a partial scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year by showcasing their research and writing skills.
To participate, cadets must submit a 3-5 page research paper on a topic related to either the Constitution or an important event in American history. Papers must include both primary and secondary sources.
Key Deadlines:
A committee of teachers will evaluate the submissions, and the winner will be announced at the End of Year Awards Ceremony.
This is a fantastic opportunity for cadets to deepen their understanding of history, strengthen their academic skills, and earn recognition for their hard work. We encourage all eligible cadets to take advantage of this scholarship opportunity!
If your cadet is interested, please encourage them to speak with their academic advisor as soon as possible.
As the weather turns colder, we want to remind you that the only approved undergarment for all uniforms during the winter season is white long johns. If your cadet needs an extra layer of clothing under the uniform of the day, white long johns are the only acceptable option. Please note that sweatpants, or any other non-uniform items, are not permitted under Class A & Class B pants.
To ensure compliance, please make sure your cadet has a pair of white long johns prior to his return to campus. If needed, you may ship them to campus using the following address:
