Spanish I

Spanish I is the first level of a Spanish language program which endeavors to provide students with vocabulary and cultural background for communicating in Spanish in practical everyday situations. The basic text employs a natural presentation in the form of a dialog, narrative or other expository material emphasizing the activities of young people in order to enable the students to act and react with an acceptable degree of proficiency in the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Vocabulary and grammar are presented in conjunction with culture so as to heighten the student's appreciation of the foreign culture and to provide insight into the daily aspects of Hispanic life.
