PVCC International Relations

Dual Enrollment International Relations is an honors course designed for qualified seniors and post-graduates seeking six hours of college credit from Piedmont Virginia Community College. The course will specifically focus on theories of world politics, foreign policy decision making, great power rivalries, globalization and global governance. The course will concentrate on studying interpretative theories of world politics, foreign policy decision making, great power rivalries, globalization and global governance, money and markets in the global economy, population and natural resource pressures on the global environment, war causation, the realist and liberal epistemological approaches to conflict resolution, and speculative reflections on the future of world politics. Students will be evaluated on the content and extent of their involvement in, and contribution to, the overall academic productivity of the class.
