Our cadet had been after us to send him to FUMA for years. He is a self-directed child and felt the One Subject Plan would be perfect for him. Also, he's outgoing and social. Once the pandemic hit, we finally pulled the trigger and off he went to Virginia for 10th grade! Now that the results are in, we (and he) couldn't be happier! Focusing on one-subject at a time was exactly what he needed. And being part of a close-knit social group was exactly what he wanted. The small class sizes and individual attention resulted in great progress academically. More importantly, the culture of individual accountability and responsibility has matured his attitude towards school...and life. We're so glad he'll be attending next year!
