COVID-19 Mitigation Plan
Fork Union Military Academy has created a page on fork union.com that explains our current COVID-19 regulations. As regulations continue to change with the progression of the virus, we would like to direct you to the link below, which will always have the current guidelines for Fork Union Military Academy.
Below are a few common guidelines from the webpage. For more detailed information, please click the link above.
VACCINATION: As we strongly encourage families to discuss with your families physician the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccination for your child, ages 12 and above, vaccines are strongly encouraged for all cadets that are enrolled at the Academy, but not required.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURES: Members of our Infirmary staff will be the first stop when cadets and families arrive to check-in. Each member of the check-in process will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19.
One family member will escort their cadet through the check-in process in the Wicker Science Building. Parents are not allowed in Jacobson Hall or the Estes Dining Hall.
DAILY SCREENINGS: Daily screens of cadets will happen daily by their TAC officer from the times of 0600-0630 throughout the school year.
MASK REGULATIONS: Currently, masking is not required for any person outdoors on the Academy's campus. Currently, masking is optional for all cadets, faculty and staff on the Academy's campus indoors.
