The Geometry course is designed to review, reinforce, and expand on the basic algebraic properties introduced in Algebra I. The concepts of proof, both inductive and deductive, are presented and applied in developing a course in the traditional Euclidean Geometry. Emphasis is placed on definitions, theorems, and postulates and application of those topics in solving problems. All facets of lines, angles, triangles and circles are explored. Additional work on polygons, polyhedrons, and the Cartesian plane are explored as time permits. Successful completion of Algebra I is a prerequisite for the course.
