Evening with Admissions

The Fork Union Advancement Office had to pivot quickly and depend upon the digital world to attract new boys to enroll for the 2020-2021 school year.  One of the key drivers to our successful enrollment during the pandemic was the alums who took the time to meet with families virtually during our Evening with Admissions events.  Umar Muhammad '96, Woody Staub '80, Bennett Wales '09, Jacob Ruby '10, Buddy Ryland '87, William Lott '19, and Josh Henriques '18 all volunteered to help promote Fork Union Military Academy!

Remembering Wayne Lander '85 - Buddy Ryland '87 and his classmates would like to remember the late Wayne Lander '85 who passed away on January 1, 2021.  Wayne's son Walker Lander '17 also attended FUMA for 4 years before matriculating to the United States Naval Academy.  Walker was awarded the "Distinguished Cadet" in  2017.  This award from the alumni association is one of the highest honors to be received by a cadet and recognizes his outstanding contributions as a member of the Corps of Cadets.  We miss you Wayne, your wonderful legacy lives on through your beautiful family.

Buddy's son Will Ryland '24 is also a first year cadet.  To read more about Buddy's love for Fork Union Military Academy and the importance of volunteer work CLICK HERE.
