Tomorrow is the Term 2 Final Exam. All Day Students must be signed in by 0715. Athletic practices will be happening on Saturday afternoon. All Day Students who are on a winter sport, should attend practice.
The Uniform of the Day for all class days starting Monday, December 9, will be Class B Winter (long sleeve white shirt and tie).
As we battle flu season, please remember to email absent@fuma.org if your son needs to miss school due to illness or for any doctor's appointments.
The deadline to submit the Leave Request for Christmas Break is Friday, December 6. Please submit your request before this date to avoid any complications.
As with every Major Leave, we aim to ensure a smooth and efficient process for your cadet's departure. Christmas Break begins on Friday, December 20, at 12:30 PM, and ends on Sunday, January 5, at 7:00 PM. Please note that all cadets must depart campus during this time.
Cadets cannot leave before 12:30 PM on Friday, December 20, unless approved by the Commandant's Department and the Academic Department. All boarding cadets must return to campus by 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
CHRISTMAS BREAK LEAVE INFORMATION
Re-enrollment contracts will be available starting in early January. If you are interested in re-enrolling your cadet for the 2025-2026 academic year next month, financial aid requests should be submitted by December 31, 2024. For additional information about the re-enrollment process, please contact admissions@fuma.org.
The ASVAB test registration information will be available before Christmas Leave begins. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be administered at Fork Union Military Academy on January 23 at 1:00 PM. Juniors, seniors, and postgraduates are eligible to sit for the test, which is free for the family.
Registration information for the Junior Workshop will be available before Christmas Leave begins. This workshop is strictly for Juniors and runs for Term 4 and Term 5. It includes 21 sessions of SAT Test Prep, College Application Prep, and optional College Visits. This workshop is an additional fee, and a cadet must be registered to participate. The resource program is designed to provide additional structured, supervised time for cadets to work on their course materials. On top of remedial instruction or help understanding their course matter, the resource program can provide cadets with additional academic skills such as time management, study skills, and test prep skills. Cadets in resource will have the added benefit of an additional instructor who will be able to monitor their progress and keep them on track academically.
As Term 3 begins on Monday, now is the perfect opportunity to enroll and give your cadet the tools for academic success.
Cost: $1,500 for the year/$300 by term.
