Happy Easter! We hope all cadets will enjoy a three-day weekend. Class will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 22 at 8 AM.
Sunday, May 4 is the Alumni Day festivities, including a Veteran's Ceremony (10 AM) and Parade (1:30 PM). Day Students must be signed in at the Commandant's Department by 9 AM on Sunday, May 4 in Class A.
Additionally, if your Day Student will be absent due to illness, please email absent@fuma.org to notify the school.
Due to increased participation in the SAT on Saturday, May 3, there will be no Saturday classes held that day.
Please note that this remains a closed weekend in observance of Alumni Weekend. All cadets are required to be on campus on Sunday, May 4, for scheduled festivities, including the Alumni Day Parade.
The registration deadline for the May 3 SAT is quickly approaching! Register by April 18 at 11:59 PM at Collegeboard.org. Please note: Fork Union does not register cadets or accept payment for the SAT. Registration and payment must be completed directly through College Board.

Fork Union Military Academy has finalized its events for the remainder of the year. The PDF Calendar on the website has been adjusted to include those events. The next Major Leave will be End-of-Year Departure. Below are the scheduled departure dates for specific groups of cadets.
Important: All boarding cadets must submit a Leave Request in Orah for their End-of-Year departure. To ensure proper accountability, please submit requests by Friday, April 18. Please select a random return date in Orah to be able to submit a request.

Chowan University, one of Fork Union’s Guaranteed Admission partner schools, is offering an exciting summer camp experience for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Held from June 22–26, 2025, this camp allows high school students to immerse themselves in college life while exploring a specific academic area in depth.

Prior to re-enrolling your cadet, financial aid applications must be submitted first. If you haven’t already applied for financial aid, please do so immediately to ensure a smooth re-enrollment process.

The 2025 Military Ball will take place on Saturday, April 26, at 1800 hours in the Library. This long-standing tradition is open to all junior and senior cadets for an evening of celebration and camaraderie. Tickets are $25 per individual or $40 per couple. For cadets without a date, we are coordinating with Virginia all-girls schools to invite guests.

West Point is hosting its annual Summer STEM Workshops for students in 6th through 9th grade, offering an immersive, hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, and math! This is an incredible opportunity for cadets to explore the West Point Academy grounds, experience cadet life, and engage in exciting STEM activities.
Workshop topics include: Human Physiology, Fuel Cell Cars, Propellants, Robotics, Cantilevers, Soldering Circuits, Fish Biodiversity, Water Chemistry, Meteorology, Egg Drop Engineering, and Data Analytics and more!
