Sunday, September 11, 2005 - Show #004

[Segment 1 - 9:22] This week's Front Porch Poll ranking the top teams in central Virginia, Bethie's Best Poll ranking this week's top individual athletes, and (drum roll, please) the Pineapple Lifesaver Award winner for this week.

[Segment2 - 5:33] Reporting on location from Saturday's FUMA Invitational, Coach Winston Brown interviews runners Alec Meyer of North Stafford who won the top boys division, Aurora Scott of Oak Tree Academy who shattered the course record in the top girls division, and Jonathan Buckland, FUMA's top finisher.

[Segment3 - 8:32] On location at the FUMA Invitational, Coach Winston Brown talks with Stephen Chester, a top runner from New Orleans who has relocated to St. Anne's-Belfield's in Charlottesville as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Stephen was the unexpected winner of the Ragged Mountain Cup and placed third in the FUMA Invitational. This outstanding runner and very impressive young man will be a welcome addition to the central Virginia running scene.

He also provides an insightful review of this past year's track season throughout the central Virginia region.

[Segment2 - 10:13] Coach Brown introduces the "Front Porch Poll" highlighting the top five boys and top five girls cross country high school teams in the central Virginia region. Find out which teams Coach Brown predicts will be Number One this season!
