Hello FUMA Parents,
Welcome to the 2016-17 school year! I hope you and your family had a wonderful summer and you are looking forward to a great school year.
I along with my husband Rick, are the proud parents of one FUMA alumnus, Bradley (Class of 2014), and two current cadets, Benjamin, a senior (Class of 2017) and Blake, a freshman (Class of 2020). Our sons started their FUMA days in middle school, and have attended as day students throughout their FUMA career. It goes by in a flash, for sure! Enjoy every minute of it!!!
This year marks our 8th year supporting FUMA as the parent of a cadet and the start of my third year serving the FUMA Parent Association, after David and Lola Ilori renewed the Association’s mission 2 years ago. David and Lola served FUMA and the Parent Association well and have helped to set the vision for the Association. I was humbled to be asked to serve as this school year’s Chairperson, as I see it as a way to give back even a little bit to the school that has given so much to our family. I look forward to helping the new cadets and their parents assimilate into the FUMA culture and family. And, I look forward to assisting our returning cadets and their parents to achieve their goals for the upcoming school year. Our returning cadets and their families are a wealth of information in their own rite, and I appreciate their support of the Parent Association and this great school.
We have an incredible team of volunteers that represent each sector of the FUMA classes. We hope to address important issues and work on implementing ideas that are suggested by our cadet’s families. Please get to know the Parent Representative for the grade your cadet is in, and we will be glad to answer your questions or point you to the persons who can assist you. We are excited to work with the wonderful staff who work day in and day out to help shape our sons into wonderful young men.
Parents, as you have taken the time and invested resources into the life of your cadet, we hope to come alongside you to help them become productive young men reaching their potential in body, mind, and spirit.
