CPT Dannon Smith, hired in 2010, is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a major in Biology. CPT Smith teaches 6th and 8th grade Science. He recently completed the Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure program at Mary Baldwin College. Through the licensing process and as an instructional aide, CPT Smith gained teaching experience in both high school biology and middle school science. Following college CPT Smith spent several years employed as a Laboratory Specialist in the School of Medicine at his alma mater. Since then he has held several positions that have involved counseling and encouraging at-risk youth. Besides his teaching responsibilities, CPT Smith assists with the Academy's swim team. CPT Smith lives in Fork Union.
