Fall Entry Nears
As we quickly finish summer school, we anticipate a smooth beginning to the 2010-2011 school year. You may assist in that goal by remembering that all students, both new and returning, are required to have a new Health and Immunization record completed.
This form may be found under the Download Center of this website.
Please pay close attention to the immunization section, since there have been several changes to the Commonwealth of Virginia requirements.
When completed, the forms may be mailed to the Infirmary, scanned and emailed to the Infirmary at infirmary@fuma.org, or faxed to the Infirmary at 434-842-4349. It is best to keep a copy for yourself and bring it with you on check in day, in case the orginal has not yet arrived.
Have a healthy and safe rest of summer. We look forward to seeing you and your son in the fall.

Counting our blessings
The original Thanksgiving was a celebration of a successful growing season. It was a harvest feast made possible by the union of the Pilgrims and Indians toward a common goal. The colonists had experienced a very difficult time. They had been weakened by disease and lack of food. They survived because they learned how to grow crops, tap maple trees, and use fish for food and fertilization from the Indians.
FUMA has similarities with this early celebration. The cadets have weathered a very difficult time of homesickness, and being removed from families and friends. They and their families have made tough sacrifices leading them to a new world. They have learned to survive by leaning on each other. They are experiencing success in their classes, in their athletics, and in living together in the barracks. Relationships and memories that will last a life time are being forged.
Let us join together with thankful hearts and encourage these young men to continue on their journey.
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
