Delegate D. Page Elmore passes away

Email to friendD. Page Elmore, FUMA Class of 1958, passed away on June 26, 2010. He was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. He served from January 2003 until his death, representing district 38A which encompasses Somerset and Wicomico Counties. He was also the Chairman of the Eastern Shore Delegation. Mr. Elmore also served on the Ways and Means Committee.
Mr. Elmore was battalion commander and president of his graduating class at Fork Union Military Academy. He attended the University of Richmond. A political science major, he interned with two Virginia governors. Elmore served as the treasurer of Accomack County from 1968-76, the youngest person ever elected a Virginia county treasurer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30th at 11 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Holloway Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29th. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home PA at 501 Snow Hill Road in Salisbury.
