Phonathon to begin February 23rd

Fork Union Military Academy's annual fundraising Phonathon will begin on Tuesday, February 23rd. A team of 24 cadets will call on alumni, friends and parents of the Academy over the next two weeks to raise money for annual giving and ongoing capital projects, including the new barracks.

Each year, the Phonathon has been a successful campaign for the school as it is a great way for current cadets to keep in touch with alumni and find out how much the school has meant to their success in life. Last year the Phonathon brought in close to $85,000 in actual donations. This year the Phonathon goal is to reach $100,000 in donations collected.

In a current mailing to all alumni the Development Office announced the dates for the Phonathon which will be on February 23-25 and March 2-4. In just two weeks $3,500 has been collected from this mailing.

We are asking all alumni to take the time to speak with a cadet should he give you a call over the next two weeks. FUMA appreciates the ongoing support of our donors and our cadets look forward to speaking with you.
