Band
Faculty Advisor:
The band welcomes musicians who play flute, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trumpet, baritone, trombone, tuba, snare drum, bass drum, drum set, guitar, bass guitar and piano. The Band is made up of 50-60 cadets. Any cadet is eligible to be a member of the band.
If a cadet wants to be in the band but has no musical experience, lessons are offered with the understanding that the cadet find time to practice daily to learn to be a functional part of the unit.
The band functions primarily as a marching band, but occasionally works as a concert band, jazz band, and a pep band. Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:15-3:00 and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:15-7:00 and Fridays, 1:145-2:45.
Band members receive full credit and an academic grade for the year. Cadets can participate in band and sports simultaneously. There is no cost for being part of the band. All instruments are provided.
