Summertime, and the living is easy...

Greetings! I hope all of our cadets are enjoying their summer break. I trust that they are all cleaning their rooms each morning and making their beds. I further trust that they are responding to their parents as "Sir" and "Ma'am", as the situation dictates. I am enjoying some peace and quiet here in the office. I find that I can actually enjoy a couple cups of coffee and can read the newspaper from front to back before jumping into my work. I have wrapped up most of the paperwork from this past year and am beginning preparations for the coming year. Few changes are in order for the 2009-2010 school year. As our veteran cadets (and their parents) know, CPT Brian Garriss, our Computer teacher and Activities Director is newly married and is now living in Hawaii. Taking over his duties as Activities Director this coming year is Ms. Jeni Fick, one of our Housemothers. She is very excited about her new duties and is already discussing plans with me to keep the cadets active during the weekends once school begins. CPT Scott Krogh, who currently works in the Perkins Technology Center, will be taking over the role as Computer Applications instructor. We welcome him to the Middle School staff.
