Along with teaching, LTC Ransone coaches pole vaulting, helps with cross country, judges for the debate team, and is the planetarium director. He helped start Comedy Sportz at FUMA. With his loving wife, Ellen, farmer Ransone lives on his great grandfather's home place in northern Fluvanna County.
