Mrs. Cox hails from Asheville, NC. Prior to working at the Academy, she was an instructional aide in the local public middle school. She also worked previously as an education coordinator of a museum in Asheville. She teaches 7th grade history, in addition to serving as the MS librarian and editor of the Bayonet. She lives with her husband, Wes, in Fork Union.
