Help recycle old eyeglasses for Haiti
The Catholic Cadet Association will be collecting and "recycling" old eyeglasses this year for use by school children and their families in Fond Pierre, Haiti. St. Joseph's Church, where the Cadets attend Mass during the school year, has a twin parish there.
The CCA asks all cadets to stick a pair or two of old glasses in their luggage before heading out to FUMA. Both prescription and over-the-counter eyeglasses are being collected for "recycling." This is a small, yet thoughtful gesture, with countless benefits for the environment, our neighbors in need, and our Cadets.
For more information, contact the CCA Sponsor, Mrs. Lauren Taddei at taddeil@fuma.org or by phone at 434-842-4331.
