Prep & Jr. Prep Football Report August 10th
Members of the 2008 Prep and Jr. Prep Football Teams should report to school Sunday, 10 August between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. Players must register in the Estes Dining Hall no later than 12:00 noon. All players must report by this time. A mandatory meeting for all parents and students will be held at 1:00 pm in the Academy Chapel, with the FUMA coaching staff and FUMA administration. Supper will be served at 5:30 pm. There will team meetings after supper. If there are any problems, please contact the Athletic Director at 434-842-4281.

Cadets return from China mission trip
The cadet group led by Chaplain James Benson and Commandant Al Ivens returned from their China mission trip this week. While in China the cadets spent time helping care for children in an orphanage and experiencing the culture of China.

Fork Union 4-Miler
The Fork Union Village Project will host the annual Fork Union 4-Miler on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 8:30 AM. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate. The course starts and finishes at Fork Union Military Academy. All proceeds from the event go to the Fork Union Village Project to benefit revitalization and beautification efforts of the local community.

FUMA students headed to China on mission trip
Chaplain James Benson is leading a group of students from FUMA's summer session on a mission trip to China this July. The group leaves on Tuesday, July 8th, and will return on July 21st.

Incoming PG footballer Damon Julian impressive in Taliaferro Football Classic at Rowan University
Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that incoming PG football player Damon Julian, a wide receiver, showed impressive Division I level talent in the annual Adam Taliaferro Football Classic at Rowan University.
