FUMA Orienteering Team Competes at Championships

The FUMA orienteering team competed in two U.S. Orienteering Championships this weekend at Prince William Forest, in Northern Virginia. On Friday, 2 November the Quantico Orienteering Club hosted the US Sprint Championships. Medal ceremonies were held at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia. Dale Helm, Keller Hopkins, Josh Timmons, and Adam Welsh, as well as Middle School Cadets Bradford Baker and Adam Van Alstyne, won medals in their age-appropriate categories.

On Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 November, the cadets competed in a 2 day Classic distance events. Helm, Timmons, Welsh, and Baker again represented FUMA on the medal platform. We congratulate these cadets for a job well done.
