FUMA Jr. Prep Beats Liberty Christian
Fork Union ran all over Liberty Christian Academy on Thursday night with a score of 29-13! FUMA finished the night with 262 yards rushing on 33 attempts, led by Nathan Lundberg on 16 attempts for 219 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 two-point conversions. On the third play of the game, Lundberg also connected on a pass to Louis Litkett for 40 yards. Most of the due credit should go to the offensive lineman tonight. They were truly work horses out there.
The men up front tonight included Clay Wyckoff, Melvin Carter, Wil Turner, Mike Gaylor, Nick Dean, and Tom Wilder. The defense played a huge role in tonight's victory as well. Andrew Wilson had two forced fumbles on the night, Marcus Hampton-Gayle had an interception, and Louis Litkett recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Congratulations to the Blue Devils as they even their record on the season at 2-2.
FUMA is on the road for the first time next Thursday, October 18 against Collegiate School at 4:00 p.m.. Thank you for all your support thus far this season.
