Civics Day Activities on October 18th
Fork Union Military Academy will observe Civics Day on Thursday, October 18th by having representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties in the local area speak to cadets. The event will be held on the main floor of the library. Cadets will have an opportunity speak with the representatives and learn more about each party's philosophy and platform. There will also be time for cadets to ask questions of the visiting parties.
In the afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 the cadets will have a chance to observe a Debate/Forum also held on the main floor of the Beatty Libary. Col. Bill Hitchcock will moderate the forum focusing on both local and national issues.
