Cadets visit Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers
On Wednesday, October 10th, a group of 44 cadets traveled to Washington DC with CSM Sidwell, MAJ Sidwell, and CPT Benson. They spent several hours at the Annual Meeting of the Association of the U.S. Army at the city's convention center. There they were able to visit the exhibit hall, taking in the sights and sounds of the Army's partners and providers.
Later in the day, the cadets attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. Cadets Aboulhosn, Helm, Floyd, and Hayes were selected to lay the wreath at the ceremony. Afterwards, the group traveled to the area of the cemetery where recent burials have taken place and paid their respects to servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq. To view photos of the trip go to FUMA Photo Gallery.
