FUMA welcomes new soccer coach
Bob Wood joins FUMA this year as the new soccer coach. He has previous experience coaching both high school and college athletic programs, and was Head Coach of men's varsity soccer at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He has also coached the U.S. Naval Academy Soccer Camp in Annapolis, Maryland. Coach Wood has experience with many club teams including: Baltimore Boys Soccer Club; Baltimore Football Club; Maryland Football Club; and Greater Hartford Soccer Club.
Coach Wood is looking forward to a productive year. "The preseason camp went well and many new concepts were introduced to the players, as well as some new experiences with sore muscles," he states. "The players and coaching staff have committed themselves to this season being the foundation of a new era in FUMA soccer."
Coach Wood encourages all parents and friends to come support the team and thanks all who have helped make his transition to the Academy a smooth one. "I am deeply grateful to the entire FUMA family for my warm welcome and the good Lord for this opportunity to be a part of your community."
