Thierry Dupuis, Class of 1975, named police chief

Thierry Dupuis '75 was sworn in this past week as Chief of Police in Chesterfield County, Virginia where he now heads a 510-officer department.

In an article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Dupuis credits his early experience as a cadet on FUMA's Honor Court as an early building block in his successful law enforcement career.

Lakers' Shammond Williams visits basketball camp

Shammond Williams (FUMA PG Class of 1994), a FUMA alumnus and ten-year veteran of professional basketball who spent this past season with the Los Angeles Lakers, provided some star power at Coach Fletcher Arritt's annual basketball camp. More than 100 campers, ranging in age from 8 to 16, enjoyed Shammond's talk, shooting demonstration, and ball handling skills as he shared his experience and wisdom with these young ball players.
